Montana started his own label in 1979, and entered into a design agreement with Gruppo GFT in 1987. He worked for Lanvin between 1989 and 1992 and terminated his agreement with Gruppo GFT in 1995. In 1992, he introduced the State of Claude Montana ladies line as this jacket was manufactured by Gruppo GFT, it dates to between 1992 and 1995. This jacket is made in a navy blue
